I just looked up the history of Camp Fire Girls and learned that some of its earliest roots are in Maine.
Girl Scouts were in my town which my friends and I joined but our troop leader had a “nervous breakdown” in that first year so the troop meetings just kinda stopped. I wonder if a whoopie pie might have helped our leader keep it together.
