The longest distance I ran was a half-marathon a few years ago and it felt so rewarding. I can only imagine the thrill one must feel after a marathon.

Respect.

Well done, Patrick. Little did I know that then, when I crossed the finish line, the ultramarathon would be on the horizon. But that is another story!

This smile! I admire, always, how you can move us readers in so few words. A true skill.

Thank you! Maybe I should have reduced it to 26.2 words to match the marathon mileage?

Would love to run a marathon someday. It’s on my bucket list, but there are many things before it. I’m not much of a runner, but maybe I can be, just for the one marathon.
