...that Love built

1850. A man named Love builds his family a farmhouse. On the barren lawn, a tiny tree. In four years, the children will die from scarlet fever. They will be buried in the graveyard by the beach. In one hundred and seventy-five years, the tree will give its life to return the view of the cove it obstructed. The cove will be named after the family.

One hundred and twenty-two years later, another family will move in. The father will hang a swing beneath the tree. The mother will plant flowers. The father will leave. The daughter will leave. The mother will stay. The daughter will return. The mother will die. The daughter will remain.
