A refuge. A haven. A sanctuary for animals who’ve endured untold pain. Pitbulls and mustangs. Damaged limbs, broken spirits. Rehabilitation, salvation. And love, always love.
Wind chimes and white cliffs. Four thousand acres of red rock and sand caves. Juniper sap in my hair, notes of dusky cedar.
A Noah’s ark of bonded pairs: horses, goats, pigs, bunnies, dogs, cats, parrots. Me and Neon, the dog I take hiking to the hidden lake. Soft red sand beneath our feet, in our nostrils.
At Angels Rest, love lasts forever. A peaceful resting place, honoring a beloved pet’s memories.
Save them all.
Here in the US, National Best Friends Day is tomorrow (June 8). Show your bestie—human or otherwise—some love!
Have been told that I should visit. Wonderful to see a few photos. Giving extra love to my pup today.
Beautiful! I want to go there!
