Peppur Chambers is a writer and producer who’s lived everywhere, it seems: Prague, Wisconsin, Los Angeles, Arizona. A former dancer for the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks and star track athlete at Marquette University, she and her brother, Shakir, have written, directed and produced a number of shows. She writes a frequent blog, Pen and Peppur, and her latest book, Harlem’s Awakening, a contemporary novella involving a brothel, a speakeasy and deep secrets, was published last year.
Peppur strives to inspire people with her words. “Especially women,” she says, “because sometimes we need to hear how great we are a little bit more and a little bit louder.”
In this month’s micro interview, Peppur tells us about strangers in a hotel room and how she found her wings.
Welcome to the mashup’s micro-interview! Answers can be any length, but the total word count—including my 8 questions—can’t exceed 100 words.
