I met Susannah last year in a daily online writing group hosted by London Writers’ Salon, and while we have yet to meet in person, I’ve gotten to know her through her words—the meditative space where grace and beauty intersect. Susannah lives in Mexico and writes extensively about the country: food, fashion, indigenous culture and vacation spots. It's also the setting for her novel.
Susannah publishes Write As You Are, a monthly newsletter on writing and the writing life. In her latest issue, she shares a guided meditation to help connect with your characters.
And in our interview below, she shares her favorite yoga pose and road trip—I can relate to those flat tires!
Welcome to the mashup’s micro-interview! Answers can be any length, but the total word count—including my 8 questions—can’t exceed 100 words.

This was so much fun, Amie. Thanks for the brilliant questions!
half moon always affirms my relationship to the midline of myself and I love to find aspects of it in other poses: supta padangusthasana b, trikonasana, utthita hasta padangusthasana b, the list goes on....
