National Poetry Month is celebrated globally to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry every April. Staying true to the “in brevity we trust” writing mantra, here’s a handful of my haiku.
eventide
i run to you in
moonlight silently; the wind
takes away my words
* * * * *
doubt
the patter of failed
expectations as soft as
raindrops in August
* * * * *
run
ice cracks, gulls chatter
the wind hums a lullaby
my feet know the song
* * * * *
