hey, you found me!

I grew up on an island in Maine among a family of writers and artists. As a kid, my career goal was to be a famous novelist.

Life happened; the writing did not. After twenty years of wandering the fjords of Norway and partying on every beach in Southern California, I finally got a degree in English.

Somehow, I landed a career in insurance sales and marketing. After 25 years in the corporate world— It wasn’t as fun as you might think—I stepped down to care for my mom. And suddenly, the words poured out.

Today, I write and share how the two worlds I inhabit—island and desert—have shaped my writing roots.

My writing has appeared in anthologies and literary magazines including Brevity, Wild Roof Journal, Maine Magazine, Multiplicity, Exposition Review and was selected by Intrepid Times as the winner of the 2022 “Wrong Turns” travel writing competition.

My flash blog is followed internationally.
